Hi mom I'm doing well. Thank you for the package I just got it this
week. The Jelly Beans are amazing, I was craving those so so so so much
thank you. I think that our Zone Leaders are a little retarded when it
comes to giving mail and it took awhile for it to get from the mission
office to me.
We don't really have very many cool dinners ever. Just
standard run of the mill dinners. We did have dinner with an
excommunicated member who served his mission in Japan. We all had
uncooked meat and veggies and a big frying pan in the middle of the
table and we cooked it and ate it as dinner went on. It was very
difficult with chop sticks but I am getting better at using those.
So I never bought the steak and I haven't had any steak since
Austin was my companion. He bought it all and cooked it. He was the
southern boy so I just got fat off of eating his food ha ha. Except I
think I have lost some weight. I can't tell though because I don't have a
scale. Got to go on belly size ha ha.
Those are some really cool missionary experiences that you all have
had. That is a good plan mom that you have. Did you pray about it to
see if it was part of God's plan also? Maybe it is time now to give him
the BoM or maybe it is after Christmas. I have never prayed so much as I
do now out here. About little tasks also like who we should go see,
what street we should knock, and what we should share with someone. It
is really cool. Pray about your decision, doesn't hurt to run it by God,
the source of all truth and knowledge :).
So this week was crazy. Tyler's mom gave permission for him to be
baptized it was soooo crazy!!! We are super excited and set a date on
July 14th with him. His dad and Tyler are really busy until then so that
was the first open date. We really think it was the 40 day fast we are
doing in our ward that softened her heart. The 40 day fast is where a
different member of the ward fasts for missionary opportunities in their
life each day for 40 days. We have been seeing a lot of miracles and a
ton of missionary opportunities that the members are having.
This week also we had a Less Active member Sis Hamutoff trip and
fall and break her hip. She is about 60 years old. We had just started
to get her to come back to church and then this happened. We were the
first ones to know though and we rushed to the Hospital and gave her a
blessing. We were the first ones there and stayed with her and her
husband for 2 hours till the relief society president came. They
transferred her down to another hospital for surgery and now she is
recovering. She has Parkinsons though so her body moves uncontrollably
so she is in a ton of pain and is having a hard time healing because she
keeps moving her hip. We are praying hard for her.
Other then that it has been a pretty normal week. We have a temple
trip coming up in two weeks and it should be fun. Be sure to wish Jess a
happy birthday on the 28th. Send her an e-mail to see if you can meet
with her for lunch also while you are up in Utah. Thank you guys so much
for everything I love you so much.
Connor
